Jeanne Serrano, MBA, ESQ.

Based in Northern California, Jeanne Serrano handles bankruptcy Chapters 7 and 13, family and work immigration, family law, estate planning and probate. Ever since Jeanne started her law practice, she knew she wanted to help people in their most critical moments.

Licensed for more than 14 years, Ms. Serrano has helped many families reunite through immigration and many immigrants achieve their American dream.

As a bankruptcy attorney, she has filed Chapter 7 for many individuals and families who were behind on their bills, in danger of losing their homes, who lost their jobs or had high medical bills. Under Chapter 13, she strategized with her clients how they can reorganize their debts. She feels satisfied seeing her clients get their debts discharged.

As a family attorney, she understands that the process of bringing the details of a marriage or domestic partnership to an end is sensitive and highly stressful. She makes it a point to fully explain to her clients the different process options and provide recommendation on the most appropriate option for their case. She is compassionate and is always working for her clients’ benefit.

As an estate planning attorney, she advises her clients on getting their affairs in order to prepare for the possibility of disability or eventual death. She drafts living trusts to avoid probate and/or develop a plan to mitigate and avoid estate taxes. She fully explains the benefits of a will or a trust to clients to help them achieve their end of life goals.

Also fluent in Filipino language, she is able to connect with her clients on a personal level. She is invested in getting to know her clients’ circumstances which enables her to construct the best possible strategy for her clients. She draws on resources from her membership with legal organization such as the Association of Immigration Law Attorneys, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney and the State Bar of CA.
She is a member of Lawyers of Distinction.

Jeanne Serrano received her JD from San Sebastian Institute of Law, Manila, Philippines in 1998. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1999. She became a member of the California Bar in 2006.  She obtained her Masters in Business Administration from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA. She was a recipient of the Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship Award.
